Agnetha Faltskog Introduktion (My Love My Life)

AGNETHA
I know I saw you in town yesterday
You smiled and took my hand.
But then you disappeared again,
Afterward I met you in my dream.
You are my fairy-tale prince, in a fairy-tail world,
But every time you should kiss me,
I wake up from my dream.
LITTLE GERHARD
Agnetha was her name, Agnetha Faltskog.
She works for a car dealership in Jonkoping. Aha then. So I start to call around to all the car dealerships in Jonkoping, and there are quite a few, asking Do you have anyone named Agnetha Faltskog?
And so I came across her, She's sitting at the switchboard of one of the places. So she said, yes, i'm Agnetha Faltskog. Yes, hello said I, this is Little Gerhard from Stockholm.Hi,hi, hi, plonk!
AGNETHA
No, I didn't think he was the one who called. It was, you see, it was the world's greatest thing that Little Gerhard called me, a 17 year old from Jonkoping.
LITTLE GERHARD
So I got to call again. Yes, hello, this islittle Gerhard, are you Agnetha Faltskog? Yes-no, is this some kind of joke, she said.
AGNETHA
I thought maybe it was someone playing a trick or such, I absolutely didn't believe it was real. Then he said, then, then, then lets do it this way, you call me instead, silly.
LITTLE GERHARD
Do it, because I wan't to do an album with you.(Clank),I put the receiver down. So about 30 minutes went by and then(RING) You have a call, Aha, I picked up the phone, then she said, Who am I speaking with? This is Little Gerhard. I see, is it really she said?
Then I said, The song that's on the tape, whose song is it? It is my own, she said. It is very good, I said, It wen't like this Now I begin to realize.
AGNETHA
Yes, now I begine to realize
That it was a mistake on my part, Because it's you, only you
That's standing in front of me
Where ever I go.
LITTLE GERHARD
So I explained how it was, that i'm at a recording studio in Stockholm, and would like to give you a chance. Then I talked with Waldoff and said we must fix up the background, record down at Philips House with strings and such things. Once everything was set I called down to Agnetha and then said, can you come up on such and such a day. She came up with her dad then, and I had arranged to have a photographer at the studio.
AGNETHA
It is one of my fondest memories, when my father and I arrived at Philips House, at the bottom of the stairs there, and one could hear a string orchestra there playing my song. I think that's the greatest thing i've experienced, musically speaking, that is. Exactly as I had, as I had imagined and hoped for, it was. Captured exactly as I wanted it, oweing largely to Sven Olof Waldoff and Little Gerhard!
LITTLE GERHARD
She had long blonde hair and it was a little like she didn't know where to go. So she got up on stage and cranked out both songs. Then I said Eh, there's something wrong, can you sing it differently? I can, she said, just like that, immediately too.
AGNETHA
It was quite easy for me to do, I've alway's been good with voices.
AGNETHA
Where ever I go.
Where ever I go.

Abba museum "will be surprising"

Published: onsdag 03 oktober kl 15:29 , Radio Sweden
A long-awaited Abba museum will open next April on Stockholm's Djurgården. It will be connected to the Swedish Music Hall of Fame on the same site.
Björn Ulvaeus from Abba told Radio Sweden that it feels a "little odd" to be a museum piece, before he's even dead.
He promises that the new museum will show off some of the strangest outfits, the music - and be pretty surprising.
Plans to build an Abba museum on the south island of Södermalm fell through several years ago, and since then a touring exhibition called "Abba World" has been making its way around the globe, showing off the band's glitter and flares to a new audience.
Now part of that exhibition will form the basis of "Abba The Museum", which will share a building with the new "Swedish Music Hall of Fame".
All four member of the band are to have provided clothes, trinkets and memories to the museum. But how do they decide on which Abba-related projects to approve, how does it feel when old Abba songs are played on the radio, and do they ever get tired of being Abba members? We spoke to Björn Ulvaeus to find out more.

BAO

Just today, on August 24, it would Uppland fiddler Eric Sahlström have turned 100 years.Jubilee celebration begins tonight at folkmusikinstituet in Tobo - and continues in Uppsala tomorrow - including dance on Vaksala Square to Benny Andersson Orchestra.
Benny even has its own nyckelharpa, but it goes like that to play he reveals.
- I bought a beautiful nyckelharpa that I ordered, but it is much harder to play on than you think. I should practice more than I did, but I'll learn to play. I will not be able to teach me to play "Fiddler Joy" before I'm dead, I do not. But something I course to learn. If you are interested in something, or if you have something you want to get good at it is just to be in and not give up. I still play several hours a day
Your interest in Eric Sahlström, how has it evolved?
- I was elected to the Royal Academy of Music a few years ago, then you should do some type of benefit there. And they asked me if I could not take the place of the board of Eric Sahlström Memorial Fund, and I said that I could do because I thought it would suit me fine. So that's why really, says Benny Andersson.

Bjorn On Desert Island Discs

Bjorn On Day 6 Radio

The Royal Canadian Mint is considering a cashless Canadian future. They've experimenting with something they call MintChip, a digital-only form of currency that might be the future of money. But over in Sweden, it's a different story. Bills and coins make up only 3 per cent of their economy, so much of what's done there is cashless.

One of the most visible promoters of this is ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus.  Brent Bambury from day 6 radio speaks with him. So what are Sweden's bank robbers doing now that there's no money in Sweden's banks?

Christian Ulvaeus sates they've resorted to petty crime. The 25 year old was robbed three times in Sweden, which led his father to join the movement to make Sweden cash-free.

"Sweden is a small country," he said. "Swedish krona is a small currency and it's only used between these borders, which means we could be the first ones out.

"Some people are like Uncle Scrooge types who like the money itself, the coins and the bills, but they are very few. And they're getting fewer."

It's still probably too early to tell if Sweden will be a cash-free nation any time soon.

Abba-Benny rage against lock-Stone

Abba-Benny rage against lock-Stone

Published: Friday 25 November at 09:54 ,Last of the past with Lantz
Benny Andersson's open letter to Stockholm's Mayor Sten Nordin began with a question: Do you want to be remembered as Stockholm's worst marauder?
Since then, their calls become a serial on the discussion pages and has raised new questions.
Who is Benny Andersson, anyway?
