Rolf Alexander , born 1954 , is a Swedish drummer who worked as a studio musician from the mid-1970s until 1989. He has also worked as a songwriter and producer, and later worked with audio / video production. He played drums of the Voulez-Vous album.
Alex began his musical career in 1971 in the unknown group "Sample 9" later Forbes . At this time this band played jazz-oriented rock inspired by the American music group Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears . Other more long-term partnerships, for example Wellander &Ronander Band (1978), Eva Cassidy & Wajs Gajs (1980-1982) and Anne-Lie Rydé (1985-1989). Together with Mats Olausson, arranged and produced Rolf Alex, inter alia, "Deidre samba 'on disc set to Leonard Cohen called the Flying Dutchman (1988).
During the years 1979-1984 he worked as a drummer in the TV program " The Exchange Monday "which was broadcast live from Hamburger Exchange in Stockholm. Alex has also appeared in the horror musical "Ghost!" on Maximteatern of Sheeba and Bengt Palmers and the various cabarets and ANC gala at Scandinavium in Gothenburg where the Swedish rock little and then Prime Minister Olof Palme wasprotesting against the South African apartheid regime .
