Disk Tip: Agnetha Faltskog - I Stand Alone
I am often asked who my favorite artist is. I have so many musical role models, but if I only choose one, it is quite clear Agnetha Fältskog. I love what she had done with ABBA, but I'm also a big fan of Agnetha's solo music, especially the English records she made in the 80s. After the success of the solo album "Wrap Your Arms Around Me" and "Eyes Of A Woman" began Agnetha together with Peter Cetera, former lead singer of the group Chicago. Peter produced Agnetha's third solo album "I Stand Alone" which released in 1987. He also recorded a duet with her, the beautiful "I Was not The One (Who Said Goodbye)", released as singles. Even the songs "The Last Time" and "Let It Shine" was released as singles, the latter in a special single remix that is hard to find on CD. "I Stand Alone" went straight up on the Swedish album chart first place and "The Last Time" reached its highest position sixteen. To the comeback had Agnetha tough for both their music and their image. Madonna's hairdresser and stylist had given her a new look and the sound of the album were synthesizers and more American than their predecessors. Although I love all music Agnetha doing so is "I Stand Alone 'my favorite albums. The best tracks on the album's title track "I Stand Alone" and "The Last Time" which you will hear in today's program. If I could choose one song in the whole world as my favorite, it's actually "The Last Time" . I love the tough production, the sad text and especially Agnetha's magical voice. / / Dennis
